Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a surprising crossover event that challenges conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The plot features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Content
This update also brings the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature techniques: Naoe debuts a dramatic variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may finally explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
